Wolfgang Tillmans is internationally recognized as one of the most significant artists to emerge in the 1990s. He approaches his work with a democratic eye and a singular style that rejects the traditional hierarchy of subject matter. His photographs present deceptively casual views of people caught at their most unguarded moments as well as often overlooked subjects and moments in everyday life.

Tillmans’s work challenges traditional photography and creates visually dynamic reflections of contemporary life in distinctive installations that are created specifically for each venue. Mixing framed and unframed photographs in his presentation, the artist draws out relationships within the body of images as well as associations suggested by the individual pictures. These compositions span entire walls and galleries, incorporating clusters of ink-jet prints and C-print photographs that vary in size.

The Arch Cupcake

Box Of Bees is The Arch Cupcake's full-length follow up to his highly acclaimed Wash Out EP. The Arch Cupcake is DJ/Writer/Producer Frederick Sargolini, one half of the seminal electronic duo, Ming+FS. Box Of Bees is Fred's full-length debut as a solo artist.

Box Of Bees is inspired by youthful memories of trips to Mexico, beat boxing in middle school hallways, and talent show DJ battles. In TAC's words, "I attempted to create an album that sounds like a novel. The goal was to create a sonic narrative of childhood memories."

V Magazine

V For Victory?

V Magazine was launched in September 1999 as the younger sibling publication to the limited-edition quarterly Visionaire. If Visionaire is a couture book, V is ready-to-wear. V is large-format and visually-driven, international in scope and collaborative in spirit. V is a magazine about fashion with a capital F and all the things that go with it: art, music, film, architecture...you name it. Before V was put into print, we thought of it this way: Imagine a wall of forty-four televisions, each tuned to a different station. Today you would need a wall of 250 televisions, but it's still a good way to think of the insane and unpredictable mix of people, places, and things that V celebrates in its pages. V is a place where uptown meets downtown, celebrities mingle with total unknowns, high art converses with underground culture. Chic, wacky, fun, fabulous...in a letter: V.
